Introduction to Indian Head Massage

Prerequisites: None

This course is an introduction to Indian Head Massage for individuals looking to either provide massage to family or friends or for those wishing to further train to develop these skills into a career.

The workshop will cover the history, effects and benefits of Indian Head Massage, consultation taking techniques, contraindications, contra-actions, after care advice and the importance of correct posture. Students will be able to provide a nice relaxing massage by the end of the course.

Although, On-site Massage Chairs are commonly used, no special equipment is needed other than a regular low back chair. These treatments can be performed on a chair, at a desk or even on a massage table.

Course notes and refreshments will be provided, a certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the workshop.
