Paraffin Wax and Audiosonic

Prerequisite: This course is only available to practising Therapists. IPTI Insurance available.

This one-day workshop is designed to enable the student to be able to understand the principles of the use of paraffin wax as a treatment for soft tissue injury and a remedial application for joint disorders (for example arthritis) and muscular problems. It also covers the use of audiosonic equipment for the recovery of soft tissue injury. Both pieces of equipment can be incorporated into massage for the benefit of the client.

The workshop will cover the following:

- Theory of Soft Tissue Injury and Repair Stages
- Types of Energy Applied to the Body
- Therapeutic Benefits of Application
- Safety Precautions
- Audiosonic Theory and Application. 
- Assessment consists of practical exercises and
  verbal feedback.

TBA 2008. If you are interested in taking this workshop please contact us to discuss possible dates. If there are not sufficient numbers of students to run the course, private tuition may be available. In this case the course may not need to run for the full length of time.
