Ultrasound

Prerequisites: This course is only available to practising Sports Therapists.  IPTI Insurance available.

This one-day workshop is designed to enable the student to understand the principles of the forms of energy applied to the body for therapeutic benefits and safe Ultrasound therapy. 

The course covers the following:

- Theory of Soft Tissue Injury and Repair Stages
- Types of Energy Applied to the Body
- Therapeutic Benefits of Application
- Safety Precautions
- Ultrasound Theory and Application
- Use of 1 & 3 MHz Ultrasound machines

Assessment consists of practical exercises and verbal feedback.

Note: Students with a history of heart disease or who are pregnant should make the course tutor aware prior to commencement.
